It is currently 5:44 a.m. on Friday and we have just returned from the airport. Our last flight was supposed to leave Chicago in time to get us to Minneapolis by midnight, but storms in Boston delayed the plane we needed and we didn't end up in Minneapolis until about 4:00 a.m. Then we had to wait for luggage, only to learn that there was some mixup in all the delays and such, and that I'd have to come back later (today) to get the one piece that didn't make it.
On the up note, however, we did make it back safely and aside from being really really tired, we're happy to be home!
I just turned on the laptop to finally upload the photos we've taken in Rome and Pompeii (the internet at the Rome hotel never worked... ever...) so here's this for now:
